Car insurance

Every car on the public road must have third-party liability insurance. On top of that, you choose whether to cover your own damage with comprehensive (omnium) or partial (mini-omnium) cover. We find the combination that suits your car and the way you drive.

Third-party car insurance

Mandatory by law. Covers the damage any driver of your car causes to others, including when a passenger is liable.

Omnium

Optional comprehensive cover. Covers damage to your own car, for example in an at-fault accident, vandalism, fire or theft.

Good to know

If your car is stolen or taken by force by someone not entitled to drive it, that driver's liability is not insured. In all other cases the insurer compensates the damage to third parties. In some cases (for example, driving under the influence) it can reclaim part of that compensation from you.

Do you own a classic car or a prestige car with low mileage? Then read about our omnium for classic and luxury cars.

After a collision

Fill in the European accident statement together with the other party and call us. We will follow up the claim for you.

Frequently asked questions

When is omnium cover still worthwhile?

Mainly for a new or recent car, or if you could not replace your car yourself. For older cars, a mini-omnium (fire, theft, glass breakage, natural forces) is often enough.
